My Brother

Recommended Posts

My brother is 67 years old. He is currently in the hospital with brain cancer, past colon cancer, bone cancer and MRSA. I don't know how to feel, what to pray for. I just feel lost. And yet my life is going on while his is soon to be over. I don't go see him like I should, I hate seeing him like that. I just don't know what to do anymore.

I'm so sorry, Deb, and I wish we could take this burden from your weary shoulders.

You say you don't know what to do anymore, and you hate seeing your brother like this ~ and while it's understandable that you'd rather avoid the whole thing, that does nothing to help you or your brother to feel any better.

I'd like to offer you some suggestions, many of which you will find in these articles. Be sure to follow the additional readings listed at their bases as well:

Hi Deb, I'm sorry your brother is going through so much. I hope you'll keep coming here and posting, sometimes it just helps to voice yourself and know you're heard. I remember you from when you used to come here. Marty's posted some good links, I hope they're of help to you.

Dear Deb,

We are so sorry your brother passed away, and for the great loss you feel. We are asking God to give you strength and stamina, as well as peace and comfort. This note is to let you know that we, among so many others here, care.
