enna
I have not run into anyone who has not had some health issues while caring for a loved one or after the death of a loved one. There are many resources available to us but most of the time we are too overwhelmed to look for them. I’d like to offer some links that I found helpful and would invite others to add to it. I would suggest that you first go to Marty’s griefhealingblog and type in a topic in the search box. I find almost anything I’m looking for there. Ways to lower your blood pressure - Belleruth Naparstek What to do when depression leaves you too weary to do anything - Belleruth Naparstek Stress Effects - the American Institute of Stress Stress Management - Mayo Clinic What causes insomnia - National Sleep Foundation Meditation music - I have fallen asleep to this Guided meditation for sleep - floating amongst the stars Understanding how grief weakens the body - The Atlantic Your health and grief -Tom Gray on Psych Central The physical and emotional effects of grief - by Brook Neal on Funeral Plan Is it possible to grieve the death of a loved one without crying? Alan Wolfert Getting back into good eating habits - Susan Albers, Psy.D - Psychology Today - How to eat more mindfully. added - 5/28 Comfort Quickies: Self-Care While Grieving by Chris Rothman, PhD The topic caught my attention.
