  1. Precious, precious friend, My heart aches for your family. What a devastating loss! I so wish I could make it better for you. My best friend’s family lost their two year old daughter , when she had an allergic reaction to chicken pox, and there is such a deep, deep grief in a time like this where there are no words to make it better. I pray you will be surrounded by friends at this time who can put their arms around you and be present with you in your hours of need and grief. One thing I want to encourage you to do is to reach out and see if there is a grief support group near your area. It is probably too soon right now to be thinking of such things. Your mind is still reeling with shock and hopefully people are surrounding you with support at this time; there is probably so much going on that you are too overwhelmed. When you are ready, I really encourage you to see if there is a grief support group such as Grief Share in your area. My best friend attended Grief Share and found it such a comfort, because the other people there really “got it.” It is so important to get connected with others who are grieving a similar loss, because that helps you know you are not alone. Other people have been through this. They understand the grief, the emptiness, the anger, and the pain. If there is not a Grief Share group nearby, probably the funeral home director can give you a list of other types of support groups in your area. It is so important for you to get connected, so that you know you are not alone. I am so sorry. I am sending hugs your way.
