Heart disease program supports patients at home February is American Heart Month, proclaimed by the president to raise public awareness of the nation's No. 1 killer - cardiovascular diseases. Hospice of the Valley has launched a new program to support patients with heart disease in their homes. To learn more, visit here. Improved customer service for online donors Making online donations through hov.org has become increasingly popular, nearly doubling over the past three years from 1,500 to 3,000 gifts. The revenue from online donations increased 60 percent in the same period. Hospice of the Valley has improved its online donations process to make it more user-friendly and easier to provide information about memorials and tributes. HOV medical director elected to Mayo board Gregory Mayer, executive medical director of Hospice of the Valley, is a newly elected member of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association board of directors. Channel 3's Scott Pasmore comments on hospice care After a recent experience with hospice care in another state, Scott Pasmore had this to say, "I've been gone for the past couple of weeks to be with my father as his courageous 10-month battle with cancer came to an end.
