  1. I love the candle idea. I will have to try it, thank you.
  2. Mitch, I hope things have improved for you and that your diet and exercise are helping. I wish this for all of us who have been despairing. ♥️
  3. It is May 29th, I think. Every day is so much of nothing I don't bother to keep track. It will soon be June 5th, marking 3 years and 4 months of feeling like crap. There isn't anything I can think of doing that interests me and I need to find something that makes me feel like I'm alive. Being a shadow person is awful. I know I don't really have anything to complain about, I'm just down in the dumps 😧
  4. Katie you are much stronger than you think. You have had so much excitement with pregnancies, but then the losses of your babies. Watching your miracle Gracie growing and being a happy girl was great, I'm crushed that she also passed. Then the tragic bicycle accident that took Noah away. The joys of being married have been replaced by questions and despair. There have been incredibly good things and memories in your last few years that have been crushed by so much loss. All that pain is huge. I know you are doing your best for the boys and yourself. Just try to tell yourself that you are doing the best you can. No one can be Mom to Caleb and Ryan like you can. Sending you hugs and hopes for better days. All of us on here are definitely cheering for you ❤️
  5. Sending wishes for a good result and a well deserved rest and recovery.
  6. Katie I missed seeing your posts. I worried about you and your boys. I'm glad you posted 🙏❤️ I haven't been on very often. I feel bad that I can not contribute financially and my grief is too much of a drain.
  7. For me it's hard to imagine a happy anything. I had happiness when Gord was alive but with his death came the end (death) of happiness. Sorry I didn't see this sooner @mittam99. I hope you did something kind for yourself. If Tammy was here you would be celebrating a happy birthday, I am hoping you had a pleasant day.
  8. Adam I am so sorry for your loss. I can't say I know how you feel. I have friends that have lost children and I can see how it has totally changed their lives. Please continue to reach out. Chatting with other families that have lost a child can help you to survive this heartbreaking loss. 🙏❤️
  9. Katie the last thing you are is stupid. You are hurting and please don't think that makes you stupid. ❤️
  10. I love your thoughts here Anne. You have a great heart and mind. All I have to do is think I am worth the effort now. Today was 3 years since the colour left my life. Missing my man terribly.
  11. My heart hurts for you Ana. I can feel the pain in your words. If I could find a way to help you I surely would. i have a difficult time with New Year's Eve as well. My husband proposed to me Dec 31, 1979 and it was a huge surprise. I was 22 then and now I'm 61. Much has changed since Jan 5th 2016. I will be thinking of you on New Year's Eve and hoping for the beginning of healing in your heart.
  12. I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm glad you found your way here and I hope you will find what you need being here.
  13. To all of you who are overwhelmed with life tasks and doing it all alone, I feel for you. My secret right now is I'm pretending that everything is ok. I seem to be the go-to person these days. Once again my friend and hubby are in Arizona and I'm house and animal sitting. I've been at it since the 18th of November. They are planing to be home mid February. All the worst dates for me. Good wishes for everyone.
  14. Hi Katie ❤️🙏. I wish I could help. Please know you are in my heart and my prayers. Frustration buster - A teacher friend told me that when she was up to her eyes in frustration or other feelings she would go to a second hand store or garage sale and buy dishes. Particularly the large plates. When she felt in the mood she would go out to her sidewalk and smash the dishes one item at a time, savouring the sounds, feelings, and sight. When she felt better it was easy to clean up and she was good until the next time. - just a thought 😲
  15. Thank you for the information Karen. I was aware of the Hopi but now I will research it better. I have friends in Arizona right now. They are their with their horses at an area where they do a lot of roping. I believe they are near Casa Grande. I'm looking after their house and animals here. 3 horses and a cat is all I have this year. In past years it's been up to 7 horses and two dogs along with the old barn cat. I hope you had sunshine today and that some comfort found its way into your heart.
  16. Karen you mentioned Kachinas. Are these sport dolls? My much loved mare who is gone now was named Kachina De Chelly. I was told her name meant spirit of the canyon De Chelly. She was my support through troubled and painful times. I'm interested in learning more about Kachinas. I miss her terribly. I had to have her euthanized in September '17.
  17. I am thrilled for you Maryann! Thank you for sharing your wonderful news with us ❤️
