Thank you for saying that, "it is the love of your mother that you remember, not the pain from the loss." My mother just died last week. It is so painful. I feel so much loss. I have no other family members. I have been looking everywhere for support. The grief counselor for the local bereavment center said to me,"someday you will be happy, but you will always grieve." Why will I always grieve? I asked. She said will you ever forget your mother? I hope I will go beyond remembering my mother with pain and grief. I hope I WILL remember her with love because then I know she will always be in my heart where she belongs.
