Robin B
I'm feeling so much pain I can barely function. My stepdad passed on friday the 15th from cancer. He was 76. The world and my life is gone and I'm not sure how to move forward.
kayc
I am so sorry for your loss. My son was in the Airforce when his stepfather passed away...I remember him telling me, "Mom, I just don't understand it, I wake up crying, I find myself crying when I'm at work." And I told him, "Son, you are grieving, people should understand that, it's okay to cry." It meant so much to me what he had to share at his funeral. It takes a while to feel functional again. Try doing one thing a day, and pat yourself on the back for that. And as Marty shared in another post, you might try dosing your crying... https://www.griefhealingblog.com/2013/12/finding-crying-time-in-grief.html https://www.griefhealingblog.com/2013/02/parent-loss-continuing-their-song.html
