Loss of step dad

I'm feeling so much pain I can barely function.  My stepdad passed on friday the 15th from cancer.  He was 76.  The world and my life is gone and I'm not sure how to move forward.

I am so sorry for your loss.  My son was in the Airforce when his stepfather passed away...I remember him telling me, "Mom, I just don't understand it, I wake up crying, I find myself crying when I'm at work."  And I told him, "Son, you are grieving, people should understand that, it's okay to cry."  It meant so much to me what he had to share at his funeral.
