Nathans_sister
I have a question that I could really use some answers on.My brother who passed away May 25, 2007; his birthday is April 17. I have no clue what to do. Do I celebrate his birthday, mourn him and the life that he is longer living,or what. I know that it is going to be hard on me and my family. Because it hasn't been even a year since he's been gone.
AnnieO
My mom died in Dec, her birthday was in March, I remember not knowing what to do either. It just happened that on my mom's birthday, I was with a very good friend who knew my mom, we were in Florida. My mom loved the sunsets there, so we took a glass of wine(my mom loved a nice bottle of wine too) went to the beach, watched the sunset and toasted my mom. There were tears, but also laughter and funny memories. It helped me to acknowledge the birthday but to also celebrate my mom's life, doing something she loved. Are there family members or friends that you could get together with and do something your brother loved? You are in my thoughts.
