How brave of you to go ahead with this with all that is going on in your life. I hope it helped you feel better even though it made you cry. I'm sure Dan was smiling down on you but I still don't know how you did it. You must be a really strong person even though you feel you aren't

Mary Linda,

Thank you very much for your support!!!! I don't know how I did it either. I did not want to post about this but, my 17 year old has esophagus disease(her villi on her esophagus becomes flat and causes her to be ill) This is not acid reflux,a allergy, or celiac disease. Anyways, her esophagus is attacking her immune system. Has anyone ever heard of this? The dr's say they are very concerned. My husband died of esophagus cancer. She may have this, we are unsure at this point. She has had this for 3 years now, we have done scopes, biopsy's and went to several dr's with the same results. I am scared out of my mind!!!!!! I am praying and my mother in law has started a prayer chain this is not cancer. She is my baby and her name is Missie. Cancer runs very prominet in our family. She said, "mom, I have cancer and I am o.k. with it". Her dad said the same thing, and he even told me he was going to die. We are going for another scope in Sept, I will keep you all updated as I find out any information, love you all, Kim

When you first mentioned your daughter's problem my first instinct was Celiac disease but you said that was ruled out. There is what is called atypical celiac disease but is treated the same way with the gluten free diet. Have they had your daughter try that? It might be worth a try. Is she anemic or losing weight? I pray that just because she said the same words as your husband that it has no significance. I am sure even if she doesn't want to admit it that she is just as scared as you are. My prayers are with you both.

Mary Linda,

Yes, we have tried the gluten free diet and same results, thank you for your support, care and concern. We even have tried the referral to a allergy specialist so we can see if we are missing something. Doing research on this. Missie gets alot of strep throat, stomach problems and is tired alot. Just got blood work done so we will wait for results. Thanks. Love, Kim

Oh Kim, I am so sorry, you have so much on your plate! Try and take one day at a time, breathe the Serenity Prayer Walt was talking about, and we will pray for your daughter as well. Sometimes it feels we will burst with the problems that come our way!

God, I pray for Kim right now, you know all the things she is facing, all of her sorrow and tears, her fears, all of the unknown...please assure her that you will be with her in all of this, give her strength and help her be there for those who need her. And in the quiet dark hours of the night, let her feel your peace greeting her tears. I ask this in your name, God, because I love her.
