Following My Mothers Recipe(S)

My mother would prepare one of her favorite dishes for the family and just recently I prepared it for the first time..following her recipe. Everyone said they liked it..but I do not want anyone saying it was as good as hers,because hers will be always be the best in my opinion.

I get this - but when I cook, I think often of my grandmother (an awesome cook), who never tasted nor measured. I find myself cooking like her - and like my husband, who also cooked from the soul. Which is what I'm hearing here, Annette.
