mfh
I just learned that 19 elite (i.e. highly trained) fire fighters were killed in AZ yesterday. Knowing some fire fighters I know they are a family (much like we are) and that every fire fighter in our country is affected by this loss. My heart goes out to the families of these men and women...as they absorb this shock and start the journey we all know too well. May they rest in peace, Mary

MartyT
Yes, Mary, thank you so much for posting this ~ I've just not had time today to do so. Like you, I am so shocked and saddened to learn this awful news, and I know our collective heart goes out to the families, friends and neighbors of these brave firefighters, as we hold them gently in our thoughts and prayers

enna
Our hearts are truly broken here in Arizona. It is indeed a very sad time. Most of this group of men were only in their twenties and so dedicated. The entire town of Yarnell has been evacuated and the fire is still not under control. Nature can be both beautiful and horrifying. Our prayers are with all involved. Life and death is always present. Another cycle of grieving begins. Queeniemary
Such a horrible sad time for the families of the firefighters. My sister lives in Prescott, where they were based. Prescott is a little larger than Harrison, AR where I live, but still has a small town feel, I know the town has been rocked with the tragedy. Prayers for all.Mary (Queeniemary) in Arkansas
