Queeniemary
Fae, so very sorry to learn that you have been in hospital, and that your care was less than stellar. Also just unbelievable that you had such a horrible time with the "help". That woman needs to come with warning labels. So glad your sense of humor survived. Very happy to have you back here.Thinking of you, and glad you are recovering, albeit slowly.QMary
enna
Oh, my dear fae, What you need is some tender, loving care and healthy meals that will get you back to your energetic self. I would volunteer in a minute except that we would be so happy to see one another that you would not receive the rest you so need. I am so sorry that you are going through this trauma but happy to know that you have not lost your sense of humor. Anne

kayc
I love how Karen put it: "Oh what a stressful way to rest!" I wish she'd thrown it in the sink and left your beautiful floor alone...sinks are much cheaper to replace.
feralfae
LOL I think the pan was fully on fire by then. It will all work out. Of all the things in the Universe, I can deal with the flooring, but it certainly has given me a far more cautious approach to having help in the house. Kay, we just make it one day at a time. We will keep making it one day at a time. And as long as I have good friends here and also Here, I can get by. Thank you. Thank you, each of you, for your wonderful presence here. Much Love, fae
feralfae
greetings not doing so well this early morning, no sleep due to pain. May be going into another hospital today. Anne, I will try to keep you updated today, but i know I am not going back to the hospital where I had my recent adventure: ay rational person would stay away. hope to have better news later today. namaste, fae

feralfae
I am diagnosed with gas pains from my raw fruit and veggie smoothie. Thank you all for the kindness and caring. I am chagrined that I have worried most of the night about what is a bloated tummy from raw vegetables. Please smile everyone, and I will try to be less stressed about this situation. I am going to try to be present and compassionate with myself these next weeks of holiday stress and also I need to give up trying to be so supportive for some friends who have needed emotional support, but then I am left drained and anxious. I know, I know . . . it is the holiday without Doug, being weak, not wanting to set foot in the ^&*( #@ wretched hospital, being away from family, feeling vulnerable, and so many things. But then I look at our Anne, and what she is able to do, speaking before groups and helping us all to have more awareness as we navigate this journey, and I feel that I can do better on not worrying so much about stuff. I am declaring today a taking care only of fae day. fae

kayc
fae, so declared! I am so relieved for you! I posted my health results elsewhere. I'm feeling overwhelmed, I was expecting one thing, not a bunch of things. I was in shock and of course, on my way home thought of all kinds of questions. feralfae
SIngular times. Back in the hospital after talking to the docs about my concerns —— and then needing to be admitted for some anaemia and general weakness. However, the PET scan is tomorrow to confirm the absence of my cancer, then surgery as soon s I can bribe my surgeon, and I will be lighter by one gall bladder, it seems. The earlier removal of my ileum left my gall bladder with a full work load and then some, so now things are not exactly being put back in balance, but a new balance crated. My job will be to wend my way back to peak health within these new constraints. I am fine, comfortable, sleeping lots, and being very gentle with myself. I send Happy Thanksgiving wishes to everyone here! Enjoy family and friends! FAE

kayc
How do you get them to act quickly on things? I'm not having the same luck. Will be praying for you, dear fae. Queeniemary
Thinking of you Fae, hoping for quick resolve of the gallbladder problem, and that you start feeling much better very soon. Holding you close in my heart. QMary
feralfae
Thank you QMary. The joke in the family is that I usually arise earlier, ride longer, work harder, and cook better than anyone else. Hence, everyone is missing me for Thanksgiving. BUt I know I where I need to be: Pet Scan tomorrow; surgery tomorrow evening or maybe Thanksgiving day. They I will begin a lot of healing. I am considering yesterday the nadir of my days, and that I am now on the upswing. Tehy tell me that there have been snow flurries outside, but I am barely tracking weather from my warm, quiet room when I am kept a bit sedated against the pain. I am comfortable and resting, and looking forward to the mending so I can go house-hunting near another hopsital. I wonder often if the staff's mistakes scare them as much as they scare me. Meanwhile, I will avoid mistakes as much as I can and get out of here as soon as I can
HAP
Sounds like a good plan to me. It's why I like living close to Boston. Good luck tomorrow. Be well, gentle Fae. Peace, Harry
kayc
I bet (Boston), that has to be a good place to be when you need medical help! fae, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and waiting for your update. I'm glad you're getting the care you need and hope you don't give a second thought to anything going on but your own rest and peace. Queeniemary
Will be thinking of you today Fae, I am traveling to Fayetteville to take my former son in law to a lung specialist. He is not real well. We do not know what is causing the fluid in his lungs. Hopefully we will find out today. You will be on my mind and in my thoughts today, sending positive vibes to you.
