Happy New Year - 2016

Happy New Year to everyone on this group.

It has been 11 years since I was last able to wish my sweet Jeannie a Happy New Year and I still miss her dearly.

Thanks to all the members of this fine group who have helped me over the years, especially in the early going when I doubted the reason for carrying on.

I wish you all the best for 2016.

It's hard to believe that 11 years have gone by.  Gene's picture remains here next to my computer.....always will.  Time goes by though my mind still has a hard time grasping the fact that it has been so long.  We still hold all the love in our hearts.  Perhaps our journey to this point can be a little hope to those new............we are still here finding our way carrying the ones we love with us.  Joy comes in small things now as each day unfolds.  As  another year soon begins......thank you to everyone who began this journey with me, who were there when my words screamed as I typed, who were there when I needed a friend, those who reached out in their own pain, who listened and understood when friends and family could not understand , those who saved my sanity many times.  For those early on in this journey........there is hope.......there is peace. 

On to another year.  Wishing everyone good health and peace.

Thank you Walt and ustwo for your words of hope and encouragement at a time when I desperately need them.  At five months and two days I cannot begin to grasp the reality of eleven years.

I do so appreciate those who are my mentors, my confidantes, those who take the time to reach out from their own pain and suffering to really read and hear what I have to say and to respond so thoughtfully and so compassionately.  I appreciate the bonds and friendships forged through the pain.  I appreciate those who are helping find my way through this dismal and dreary and exhausting trek.  Thank you for your humor and your wisdom.

Now this just made my day!  To hear from Walt and Evelyn, both who were on my early journey, thank you for stopping by!  

My son and his wife canceled their plans to come for the weekend so I'll be alone on New Year's, decided to take the tree and decorations down.  I was feeling a little glum about it as I'd so looked forward to seeing my grandbaby, but you guys just brightened my day!

Well, not much for Wine, last Wine I bought came in a Box  shows  my tastes. Last night I got into "Sailor Gerry" Rum.........Very seldom drink hard stuff but this has been a tough year .....Reading what Walt and UsTwo say, gives me all the more resolve to stay the course..........happy new year
