(KAYC REPLY) Thank you for the suggestion. I'm actually in therapy 5 days a week right now for unrelated reasons. I'll also be seeing a individual therapists. I'll be sure to touch base with them. This does need to be addressed.

( NOVI REPLY) I've written a couple letters to him and it has helped. I just seem to have these "flare ups" that come and go where I'm just angry and frustrated at him, but then I miss him at the same time.

My father passed in July partly due to cirrhosis of the liver due to his decades long drinking addiction. I had cut ties with him around 20. I found out after he passed that he had gotten sober right after we cut ties. I'm so angry because it feels like he got sober too late. It feels like everything I've ever wanted to say I can't say anymore. I'm angry that we never got to reconcile.

(MARTYT REPLY) Thank you for sharing this piece of work. It was beautiful. I'm in counseling for unrelated reasons, but I should probably see a grief counselor as well.
