There's more. I went away to help, to learn, to grow, but coming home was a terrible shock. All my possessions had been redistributed as though I had died. I did give away a great many things, but not everything ... not my jewelry box, filled with my mother's treasures. Not my incomplete Master's Thesis, lying in a landfill somewhere.
