Now we are expecting up to another foot of snow.    This has been a tough year for so many.   Gin

More snow again today.  And high today of 11.  Now I have a plumbing problem in the bathroom.  Water running from under the sink cabinet.  Called plumber.  Not there.  Left message.  Nothing.  I am so tired of covid, snow and cold.  Makes it so hard when we are alone!  Al would have fixed the problem or called someone and dealt with them.    Gin

When I gripe, my daughter reminds me....be glad this is not Nov.  we are almost done with it.  Gin

Chicago has been hit hard with snow the last 2 weeks.  First we had about 13” and then various episodes of 2-4”.  Now it is below zero.  Still we are having 1-3” every other day.  I am in no shape to shovel.  Alley is all ice.  Don’t know if my garage door will go up or if the car will start.  I am scheduled to get my vaccine in a week, but have no idea if I can get there. My best friend now has the virus and is quite sick.  Been a very rough year for everyone.  Gin

Today would have been Al’s birthday.  My brother died last week from covid at nursing home.  Too many losses.  I know we all feel that way.  We are expecting 10” of snow on Monday.  Hope some kids want to earn money.  My neighbor will probably plow the front, but I have to do front and back porches and stairs.  I am tired of just thinking about it.

Found out this morning that my dear brother died.  He had severe Alzheimer’s and Covid. Have not see him since July.  No one allowed to visit.  It is better for him...he would not want to live like this.  It’s been downhill since his wife died last Jan.  Gin

Watching WTTW special.  Christmas  music from the old days (that’s where I’m from).  Then it went into a   special about Andy Williams.  Lots of good old love songs.  Now I am sorry I am watching.  Al and I were so much in love.  Too many memories!   Gin

Brother has pneumonia.  On hospice now.  We just had a zoom meeting with him.  Like a goodbye.    Gin

My brother has severe Alzheimer’s.  He has been in a nursing home since early Sept.  his wife died last Jan.    no one has been allowed to see him. One daughter here and his other one in Fla. now he has COVID.  On oxygen, coughing, etc.  sleeping all the time.   Just got word that my 24 yr. old grandson tested positive.  He was here on Christmas to visit.  All wore masks.  Now .I am quarantined   Seems like there is no end in sight.    Gin

This was a hard week.  My brother suddenly went from mild dementia to severe.  He is now in a nursing home with no visitors allowed.  His wife diesd last Jan.  I do not think he even knows who I am on the phone anymore, but I call him every day.

My daughter worked with the disabled for 10 years.  Money not coming in....let go on Friday.

My son lives in southern Cal/Mexico.  He fell from a high pole last year...2 hip replacements and back surgery.   Company had the wrong “cone” on the pole.  He had to go to court last week.  Something about workmans comp.  no details.  Sounded like he could go to jail.  Hard to get info from your 48 year old son.

my daughter said she was dropping off  dinner.  A friend dropped off a pie.

we have to be thankful for the good things in our life.  Being alone is sure hard.   Gin

Today would have been our 20th wedding anniversary.

I was married 3 times.  First one ended in divorce after 31 years.

Second one ended in a suicide.
THEN I met Al, the love of my life.  Miss him so much

I know what a rough time this is for you.  Last year, only my niece remembered Al. Thinking about you today.  Gin
