The holidays bring lots of activity to Hospice of the Valley. Read on to help us spread the news about these exciting community events and announcements during this season of caring.

Hospice of the Valley Expands to Casa Grande

HOV now serves the greater Casa Grande area in Pinal County, providing end-of-life care to people in their homes, group homes, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. To learn more about our first expansion outside Maricopa County, visit HOV expands to Pinal County.

Here are two ways you can help HOV while doing your holiday shopping!

• Stein Mart Grand Opening in Tempe, on Nov.6 - On Saturday, November 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Stein Mart, Tempe Marketplace, 1800 E. Rio Salado Parkway. The Tempe Shopping event benefits Hospice of the Valley. Tickets are $5, which includes $5 off a purchase and 20% off one item. Tickets will be available at the door.
  
  • White Dove Thrift Shoppe Scottsdale Expansion - Open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 8461 E. McDonald Drive, Scottsdale. HOV's White Dove Thrift Shoppe in Scottsdale has doubled in size. We're celebrating with displays of all-new resale items in every department - clothing, electronics, housewares, furniture, knick-knacks and more. For a shopping coupon, visit here.

    Light Up A Life on November 21
    Light Up A Life takes place this year on Sunday, November 21, 6 p.m. at Steele Indian School Park, 300 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix. The annual community event pays tribute to individuals who have died with a photo montage set to music. Paper ornaments will be available for people to honor their loved ones and hang on trees.     Support Groups Help with Holiday Grief
    HOV offers two free support groups to help individuals cope with grief during the holidays.
    
    
    • The support group Coping with Grief during the Holidays will meet from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on four consecutive Tuesdays beginning November 16 at Foothills Christian Church, 3951 W. Happy Valley Road, Glendale. To register, call 602.636.5390.

  [*]A Spanish-speaking support group, Coping with Grief during the Holidays, will meet from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on December 8 at Hospice of the Valley's West Office, 9435 W Peoria Avenue, Peoria. To register, call 602.636.5370.

I so wanted to attend the Light event at the Indian Steele Park in Phoenix! But I wasn't feeling at all well and spent the time in bed and in tears after..I'm sorry Mom!
