I shoveled the walk and driveway to get rid of the first 6 inches....Its light and fluffy so I'll repeat again in the morning..My area needs the snow for the agriculture...Appears the Ground Hog was right, another month of this...

Winter cold returns today, Plus 50 yesterday and _-15 today and next 7 days.....But very little moisture in forecast....

I'm in the Q for cataract surgery...Wait time is at least 4 months...I told them I am available for cancellations.....Marg how is your sight?

What is causing your power problems Kay? Wind and Rain....Our weather is normal  or above for next two weeks...Bought garden stuff today, family thinks I'm jumping the gun.......

What a change in weather...Minus 40 to Plus 40 , that is 80 degrees F over 10 days.     Planning outdoor BBQ on Tuesday....Winter will return I'm sure,  but not as severe as mid Month....

.Woke up to Minus 18 this morning(wind chill minus 26)  Good news both vehicles started without an issue...My weathermans credibility has come under question but he is adamant warming big time next four days....supposed to shuffelboard tonight, plan on attending...

I used to think I could move mountains, now I cannot get to my car, and dangerous to drive if I do.  Black ice is prevalent.        Good sound thinking Marg......Be very cautious , if there is ice at your place, chances are there is Ice where your going...And always in daylight...

That is Severe weather Kay, we have lightened up here significantly, temps Minus 5 and warming next few days....I'm back on School  pick up / babysitting duty ......We are getting snow finally, had a minor slip the other day , landed on my backside and elbow.  A couple of Aspirins and now I'm feeling fine...There is lots of snow  and severe weather all around...Take care

Arranged Step daughter to drive me to auto store for a new and more powerful battery charger...   Its only minus 33 today which is good news...Last 5 days lows all in minus 40's....A Record...Calling to reschedule eye appointment for Wednesday until weather and vehicle issues resolved....Its 40 miles away....

Extreme Cold continuing......it will break in the next 24 hours and I had one vehicle running yesterday....Alerts all night about reducing power consumption as the risk of Power outages is high....waiting for daylight to resume my vehicle work again...just bringing battery back  into the house to warm up and charge....called AMA(Towing) and there was 12 hour wait or more...this Cold is brutal...

Two more days of this extreme weather...Minus 42....Wind chill minus 50....Pets feeling it on their feet...Tonight is the coldest then warm up begins...

Got up early  to locate more cords and apply more heat to vehicles...Temp is MINUS 42 with a Wind Chill Minus 50...I'm sure schools are cut back so expect to do some babysitting next couple days....Don't recommend any driving in this weather....Will be back to normal late Monday....Hasn't been this cold  since the 80,s....

I got two "frozen " vehicles this morning to contend with....Everything is plugged in and still little life after four hours....Tripped the breakers lost hot tub heat(that can wait), and Christmas Lights is now officially over.......Plan is now get Mustang going, has proven battery blanket etc then boost "New" Vehicle.....School Buses all shut down.....Will touch Minus 40 for next days...Wind Chills minus 50....Coldest since 1989........

Waiting for daylight to begin shoveling first significant snow fall of the season...The good thing about cold weather is fluffy snow...

Kay, is there an animal control officer you can call? Most municipalities do have leach or control by laws...Pepper spray is good idea..

Weather alerts up here, heavy duty Arctic front moving in Minus 40    by Friday...Cancelling a few events and gassing up...Weather will be back to normal by months End...Three years ago I lost my water in a mobile home ,called a plumber  and we put in new heat tape....crawling under trailers tough on the old body...

Not much snow up here but the Cold has returned....It is 10F for next few days , then below 0 night time temps.... 

Marg I'm getting  work done and it began today....Had three different machines taking pictures of my eyes...I believe one more follow up set of tests then cataract surgery.....Next appointment I need a driver because pupils will be dilated when there finished...I hope to everything done by March......Still waiting for for the Arctic Cold to hit next 3-4 days....Happy New Year

My ex Son in law told me his girl friends car got stolen...Car was returned but with substantial damage>>>($20000)...Made police report etc then my Grand daughter came clean she borrowed the car....She is 14 years old....Talking about strssing a relationship...My granddaughter goes court(again) next week...These kids have no values these days or don't fear consequences...Will be an interesting new year...

We have taken someone here last three years....a small train pulled by a tractor was the big hit this year.....

Went to tree lighting.  It was courageous 

Our shuffell board group started up again after about a year ....Had a good time and will return next week for sure...Got a surprise this week end, we are baby sitting the grandchild extra 3 days as the Fathers family is sick( grandfather hospitalized)something that is contagious....Kids mother back on drugs again(still)....Santa Claus has to find her new pair of skates for the Kid for Christmas....weather unseasonally dry and above normal forecast....Strange for up here  We will pay for it.. 

Woke up to 12 degrees F today....Had to coax dog outside to do her business....Sky is clear and this is coolest couple of days  for next two weeks...Absence of moisture will be a problem we will pay for...Kay. how was your Drive?

Another three weeks of this darkness then we turn the corner...This Darkness gets you down...Sunrise is 8;40 AM and Sundown 4:30 PM....Bright spot is weather a few degrees above normal and No snow....We need the snow eventually for the farmers and the Forests.....Will finish putting up outside decorations hopefully...Very limited ladder work...
