Everything is almost back to normal, Fires out, Granddaughter good for ten days, school is back in session....I have issue with sick dog, stomach issue(diarreha?).....giving her some pumpkin puree, spirits are good...I'm the one whose not sleeping...3 AM and I'm making a pot of soup(all garden stuff) with dog sleeping on the couch..Have a good Sunday

Went to Eye Doctor  couple days ago and I finally have the diagnosis I require ...Cataract surgery...Probably 6 month wait but I'm on some ones waiting list.......Last night went to Football game 35000 Fans, home team won on last play of the game....Great set up, drive 20 miles to a park and ride, get on a Bus and takes you to the stadium....all included on the ticket price.....and takes you back....

Last 30 hours have been a roller coaster...My youngest Granddaughter, who turns 14 next month but thinks she's 24, ran away(via bedroom window)....her Aunt contacted police, put up posters, step mother was tracking phone activity, Facebook notification posted, and I had stakeout planned today  in suspected neighborhood.....Three AM i got notified Police found her....Still lots of questions but I am, the whole family, are  so relieved she is safe....Challenge now is to figure out why did she left in the first place...

Northern City (YK) pretty well done with the Fire just stagnant now...Temps about 75-80F.....40-50F at night....They need the rain before anyone can go home...No lives lost in either Fire area

In Central Alberta we have no danger, its Southern interior of BC(Kelowna Area on Large Lake that is in Alert status ) and the Far North capital of Yellowknife is 90% evacuated...The fire up there is on Pause about 25 miles from the town....Need rain and cooler weather which is here or super close....No loss of life and limited structure losses in the major urban area,s...

I turn 71 in three months and after my road trip decided to purchase new vehicle......basically the same thing but 95000 less miles on it...This one has only 35000 miles....Dodge Journey.........and I bought new Lap Top ($350 back to school sale)........Seriou News...Great Grand Daughter living with us weekdays'.the alternative was family services and I suggested we are good for a couple of months as long as all are in cooperation.....will review things later with in put from Child consultant therapist who she just started seeing.....

Marg, I smoked for about 40 years, quit cold Turkey the last time Jan 2 2009...smartest thing I ever did...Great Grand daughter kicking up problems with Grand mother these days, talks back about everything....needs some old school discipline in my humble opinion....She's spending the night right now and has woken us up three times about nothing...Too old to raise another kid....On the lighter side ,been on line looking for a new set of wheels.....

Been catching up in the Safety of my home after an eventful Vacation....minor Automobile issues,( flat tire, broken belts, and power steering oil leak,) extreme heat and Forest Fires.....Lots of Pool Time, 2KM walks to and from Garage, Beach, and the Dog park daily....Fruit stands were a big hit, I concentrated on Veggies....After everything  said and done , the Wife had me book the same everything next year...Kay, so sorry to hear about the Foot, sounds like your on the mend...

Latest update has my Daughter a no show for court, but rumour has it she pulled the fire alarm at the Courthouse....Lady at the court tells me their is a Bench warrant issued for her arrest...It will do her good once this is resolved.....

Marg, Chrystal Meth definitely brings on Paranoia...Old druggie told new drugs way more potent than 10- 15 years back...Whether its Fetanyl or Heroin, it is different.....

I've done the physical "locking up" and my detox even  allowed light beer.....But the Police did talk to me about unlawful confinement, someone called the Police.....Unless there is a medical court order they can do all the drugs they want, the law says you can't traffic drugs or possess drugs.....but you can blast and Fry your brains....
