A Song That Brings Comfort

Recommended Posts

Sometimes when I sleep

I can see you walkin' back to me

And sometimes I wake up

'Cause I swear I felt your touch

Then emotions overcome me

And the darkness is so cold

I light a candle

Watch it burn

I feel the angels come and

Fill this room

When you're gone

I miss you so much

I do the only thing I can do

I pray for you

I pray for you

Every minute of the day

I can clearly see your face

And every minute we're apart

Oh you know it juts breaks my heart

I'm so lonely

But I'm okay

'Cause I know we'll be together again

I light a candle

Watch it burn

I feel the angels come and

Fill this room

When you're gone

I miss you so much

I do the only thing I can do

I pray for you

I pray for you

Oh, I pray for you

Ohhh I light a candle

Watch it burn

I feel the angels come and

Fill this room

When you're gone

I miss you so much

I do the only thing I can do

I pray for you

I pray for you

Oh, I pray for you

Please hold her

And protect her

Till she's back here in my arms again

Oh tell her

How I love her

And I'll be waiting right here forever

Amen

hi Kayc,

In the bible there is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven (Ecclesiastes).

A time to give birth, and a time to die;

A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted.

A time to kill, and a time to heal;

A time to tear down, and a time to build up.

A time to weep, and a time to laugh;

A time to mourn, and a time to dance.

A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones;

A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing.

A time to search, and a time to give up as lost;

A time to keep, and a time to throw away.

A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together;

A time to be silent, and a time to speak.

A time to love, and a time to hate;

A time for war, and a time for peace.

What do you do to let the pain go away? My therapist told me to let go so I can forgive. I don´t know how to do it. I have always been so practical and objective in my life but now it seems I don´t want to react and I don´t know why.

A big kiss, Gisela

It seems to me that letting go IS forgiveness. But in the instance of grieving, I'm not sure that anything eases the pain except for time. Lots of time. What is it that you think you are needing to react to? What do you think are some of your options?

Also, you mentioned the Bible, have you thought of asking God for help with this? Sometimes things seem too big for us and we need help.

John Rich sings it, I don't know if he composed it. I wish I could play it for you, I totally love it.
