We played this at Bill's funeral...it says so much.

Wow. Sometimes it's all that keeps me going, is knowing the love we shared...but by now it all seems a dream, so long ago, was it real or did I imagine it? Did he really live, did we really share this home together, did we really enjoy life, did he really hold me, or did I just dream it so long ago?

Here are the lyrics to this beautiful song:

In This Life

For all I've been blessed with in this life,

there was an emptiness in me.

I was imprisoned by the power of gold.

With one honest touch, you set me free.

Let the world stop turning,

let the sun stop burning.

Let them tell me love's not worth going through.

If it all falls apart, I will know deep in my heart

the only dream that matters has come true;

in this life, I was loved by you.

For every mountain I have climbed,

every raging river crossed,

you were the treasure that I longed to find.

Without your love I would be lost.

Let the world stop turning,

let the sun stop burning,

let them tell me love's not worth going through.

If it all falls apart, I will know deep in my heart,

the only dream that mattered had come true;

in this life i was loved by you.

In this life, I was loved by you.

I know these feelings. I sit here frequently wondering which is the dream....this day without Bill or the many years we shared. It is a blur and I go through pictures to help me know that the joy and love we shared WAS real and DID happen. I urge you to get the photos out...they help. We will all make it through these tough days and years...I just don't know how.

Thank you for putting up the words.

I doubt I will ever listen to this song without thinking of what I lost. It just speaks to what we had...mfh

Thank you, Marty. I really love the song and have it on the slide show I did of Bill's and my life together also. We played it at the funeral and a friend sang it. IZ also has some albums. He has since died but his albums are out there. Thanks, MFH (Mary)

Dear Mary,

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this lovely song with us. It really does say everything. Thank you Marty, for putting the words up too, as I was having a hard time to hear well enough to make out the words for sure. Haven't got the new hearing aids yet.

Mary, again I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Blessings and Courage, Carol Ann

Marty and All,

Well I just read the lyrics and needless to say I'm in total tears, good and sad, the song/lyrics just brings it to reality

what we are learning during this journey, I'm so thankful I experienced the love, companionship, passion and friendship I will always have had with my Ruth, she taught me much about loving someone and much about myself, I am truely Blessed that God brought us together...and with that being said she will always be with me forever in my mind, heart, and soul, even as I am learning to Love again...

NATS
