  1. Well I thank Kay and George for their sharing the Keto low Carb benefits.....The more I learn about the Keto and intermittent fasting benefits, the more positive lifestyle I am rewarded with....Finally warming up here, doing some painting inside Garage today...Hopefully taking Wife out for early Valentines Dinner this evening....We've been babysitting sick grand daughter last two days(today will be #3), night out is well deserved, my patience is not what it used to be...I'm officially Grumpy.....
  2. Keto and the intermittent fasting is a key to brain health....Did the Birthday party thing last night with Judi's Great granddaughter...Quite the show, Someone dressed up like Mouse and kids all singing and having great time....Sad side her Mother called us at 3:30 AM from a waiting room looking for money....it was so sad, doesn't remember its her Daughters birthday but remembered our number(used someone elses phone)....told her to call back during daytime hours....Called back two more times within the hour....Quiet now
  3. I've spent 40 years in the North and have never had more than -60 wind chill.....This -110 wind chill is almost unbelievable ...that is Crazy.....
  4. WATCH: Live Look Atop Mt. Washington,,(New Hampshire Which Just Set a Wind Chill Record of -109 By Saturday at 7 a.m., temperatures had dipped as far down as -45 degrees, two degrees shy of the lowest ever, with a wind chill that made it feel like -109, a new wind chill record for the observatory.........ALL time record anywhere
  5. Good morning, had a Medical dominated week....Top news Second EKO Cardiogram on my heart showed no problem, Personal yearly check up was OK(lost 12 lbs), did a Bone scan, and was at clinic for an hour for Blood work.....Our bad weather is over for about 7-10 days.....Babysitting grandkid today, its her 7th birthday tomorrow...Her Grand mother has quite the party planned .........Watching east coast Temps today, tad chilly..
  6. Temperatures in Edmonton are above Freezing Thursday afternoon for the first time since Nov. 27. That means the city went 52 days without getting above Freezing zero and that streak ties 1978 for the third-longest on record. Only 1956 (83 days) and 1950 (67 days) had longer stretches of sub-freezing daytime highs.4 days ago.....but alas in 4 days we slip back down again..waiting for Groundhog.....Taking down Christmas stuff this week...
  7. Sea Hawks still alive..........hope your doing better...

  8. Gwen, Santa Clause(my #2 Son) bought us two season tickets to our local Professional Football team......Looking to get back into following the team closely.....I still watch lots of NFL, getting interesting..Happy New Year

  10. Got a call from my daughter last night and she was more confused and paranoid than usual....I agreed to send her early Christmas gift....Re emphasized that if she straightened out, stayed clean for a month these feelings would clear up....That only ended with I don't know anything.....Then I lost it and explained I volunteered for two winters at the Shelters and I do know...Long story short, she now has money from the Old man, the government, and her mother to get her through the cold snap, or they will party in the hotel for three days and it all starts again...What a life for a Child with so much promise....Minus 40 up here this morning
  11. Sent my daughter half her Christmas gift(money) and double checked with her Mother to coordinate currency giftsso we spread it out .....as it all goes pretty fast .She sounds not too bad and I have hopes I can get her somewhat straight for the summer...I have hope, her Brothers not as hopeful....
  12. I have a story very similar to Marg...My youngest daughter almost froze her feet off..She was at burn unit and feet black...It was all drug related...My plan was to get her south so it won't happen again...She OD" d last summer and it took 4 shots to bring her back..(Fendenal)..........The sad part is she has a beautiful daughter and she still won't get her act together She is 40, definitely Skitzophrenic , such a waste.......Daughter lives up here with her Dad...Kay we have lots of shelters, but as mentioned, a lot of homeless don't want a Shelter, they prefer tents and privacy....Shelters for washrooms and hygiene...They are mentally ill...
  13. The weather swings are so dramatic...Hard on the highways and infrastructure...Our homeless get lulled on the mild days but the cardboard is no good for the minus 20-30 stuff
  14. Weather turned and now 25 F and snow......Dog loves it and now I get my exercise...Calling this a Polar Vortex and now heading East...Hope that's it for awhile...
