    Dog's half healed but started throwing up a bit this morning...she has good appedite and lots of Energy, made a Vet appointment for Monday just in case things aren't back to normal.....blue skies and smoke is gone... Autumn in a couple of days...love the leaves

    Going full Dentures was the smartest thing I did post 55 years Old...Takes a couple of months for your mouth to "fit" the new teeth....You will require a relining and touchups Key to remember is small bites...You made a good decision..

    Everything is almost back to normal, Fires out, Granddaughter good for ten days, school is back in session....I have issue with sick dog, stomach issue(diarreha?).....giving her some pumpkin puree, spirits are good...I'm the one whose not sleeping...3 AM and I'm making a pot of soup(all garden stuff) with dog sleeping on the couch..Have a good Sunday

    Went to Eye Doctor couple days ago and I finally have the diagnosis I require ...Cataract surgery...Probably 6 month wait but I'm on some ones waiting list.......Last night went to Football game 35000 Fans, home team won on last play of the game....Great set up, drive 20 miles to a park and ride, get on a Bus and takes you to the stadium....all included on the ticket price.....and takes you back....

    The "Wood" terms are the same Marj....UN alarmist saying this is the Hottest summer ever......I call them out, we have had Hotter weather in the 70's, thats the same decade same WAKO's called for an ICE age in NEWSWEEK, ....I believe in Climate Change and I think if we planted more Trees, managed all the forests......This raising gas taxes and doing nothing but Solar panels is an insult to the voters....On that note , its good news all round...

    Great news from the Territory wildfire Evacuees......allowed to return home today...All water and services restored and crews in place to maintain.....That should be it , touch wood...

    I'm saying the same thing....got to find out why she has the need to "run away" or sneak out at the age of 14...The dangers that are out there scares the dickens out of me....We got a Great Grand Daughter and I fear the same things for her..Not a great World out there...

    Last 30 hours have been a roller coaster...My youngest Granddaughter, who turns 14 next month but thinks she's 24, ran away(via bedroom window)....her Aunt contacted police, put up posters, step mother was tracking phone activity, Facebook notification posted, and I had stakeout planned today in suspected neighborhood.....Three AM i got notified Police found her....Still lots of questions but I am, the whole family, are so relieved she is safe....Challenge now is to figure out why did she left in the first place...

    Northern City (YK) pretty well done with the Fire just stagnant now...Temps about 75-80F.....40-50F at night....They need the rain before anyone can go home...No lives lost in either Fire area

    Everything here is improving....the strategy is over due on the Evacs and we can aways come back ....some concerns on the evacs of Native children up north without proper consent...Always something...Real news is fire is not advancing and rain in forecast....and its cool in the morning 37F.....Golf tomorrow with Judi's Grandson, last time before school..

    In Central Alberta we have no danger, its Southern interior of BC(Kelowna Area on Large Lake that is in Alert status ) and the Far North capital of Yellowknife is 90% evacuated...The fire up there is on Pause about 25 miles from the town....Need rain and cooler weather which is here or super close....No loss of life and limited structure losses in the major urban area,s...

    I turn 71 in three months and after my road trip decided to purchase new vehicle......basically the same thing but 95000 less miles on it...This one has only 35000 miles....Dodge Journey.........and I bought new Lap Top ($350 back to school sale)........Seriou News...Great Grand Daughter living with us weekdays'.the alternative was family services and I suggested we are good for a couple of months as long as all are in cooperation.....will review things later with in put from Child consultant therapist who she just started seeing.....

    Marg, I smoked for about 40 years, quit cold Turkey the last time Jan 2 2009...smartest thing I ever did...Great Grand daughter kicking up problems with Grand mother these days, talks back about everything....needs some old school discipline in my humble opinion....She's spending the night right now and has woken us up three times about nothing...Too old to raise another kid....On the lighter side ,been on line looking for a new set of wheels.....

    Been catching up in the Safety of my home after an eventful Vacation....minor Automobile issues,( flat tire, broken belts, and power steering oil leak,) extreme heat and Forest Fires.....Lots of Pool Time, 2KM walks to and from Garage, Beach, and the Dog park daily....Fruit stands were a big hit, I concentrated on Veggies....After everything said and done , the Wife had me book the same everything next year...Kay, so sorry to hear about the Foot, sounds like your on the mend...

    Latest update has my Daughter a no show for court, but rumour has it she pulled the fire alarm at the Courthouse....Lady at the court tells me their is a Bench warrant issued for her arrest...It will do her good once this is resolved.....

    Marg, Chrystal Meth definitely brings on Paranoia...Old druggie told new drugs way more potent than 10- 15 years back...Whether its Fetanyl or Heroin, it is different.....

    I've done the physical "locking up" and my detox even allowed light beer.....But the Police did talk to me about unlawful confinement, someone called the Police.....Unless there is a medical court order they can do all the drugs they want, the law says you can't traffic drugs or possess drugs.....but you can blast and Fry your brains....

    Had an unexpected visitor on the week end...My Daughter who is a drug addict and as a result suffers from Schizophrenia, surprised us with a visit to see her daughter...On egg shells all week(4 days), when we made it clear no drugs she said its like being in Jail......Gave her a ride to highway(40 miles), $100, and she left.....The rest of the story is she has an Assault charge to appear in court by months end...She is a violent young lady ,who is 40 years old ,who refuses to stay on her Meds...

    Smoke coming down from Western Alberta and BC....Town of Edson (7500) evacuated yesterday, but rain and cool temps in the forecast tomorrow....Lo of 45F hi 70F.........On the personal side , I pulled something in my back, slowing me down some.....Lifting something awkwardly....Happened Friday, this my third day of doing very little, and feeling better...

    Good news on the Forest Fire Front in Western Alberta....The wild fire count is now 55 and all under control....It was up over 100 Ten Days ago....WE have had rain and cooler temperatures as of late, forecasts are returning to normal(max 75F and mins 40F......... Slowly getting back to normal...

    Our weather reprieve has ended and the Heat is returning.......80 + to the Fire area's...Lots of resources made available....Bright side, I'm doing Mothers Day Pizza late lunch for Wife , granddaughter, and Step Daughter.....desert will be store bought......Happy Mothers Day to all
