I was just saying to myself how dark it is already, Christmas lights come on automatically......Just shovelled some snow( more of a scrape2 inches)......My reason for moving to the Frozen North was family for these occasions....Bought two Turkeys yesterday, price was right ,,,,will Cook one with part of the Family coming over on Dec 24th, and invited out with the kids Christmas Day(at X Wife's House, should be fun, her Husband is there)...Diet definitely going to take a hit...have a good evening.. -

After reading all the "medical" posts I can relate to some of the frustrations......I haven't been to the Doctor for a few months so decided to get all the tests re done,,,,,,I have high glucose, and hi cholesterol....I accepted the Type 2 verdict but swear to diet and walk it off ......I have equipment/strips and monitors to measure BP and sugar......My goal is to be normal again by spring......And the crazy thing is, I haven't felt better in at least three years...Wish everyone the best... -

Are we all suffering from PGD?
kevin replied to mittam99's topic in Loss of a Spouse, Partner, or Significant Other
Grief, depression and PTSD are more than sufficient labels we get slapped with. All of us here had our lives so drastically altered, there are no words to adequately describe it to the outsiders. ..............................(Gwen)..I saw or heard something that Grief is similar to Survivor Guilt.... -

Just got back from a funeral , had to drive about 600 miles. .Buddy was 62 years old and developed kidney cancer....Entire system shut down in three days(heart, liver,lungs)....Hard working Farmer construction type and I'd say clean living(except for the Beers)...You never know what this life has in store for you, giving thanks for every sunrise......... -
Downsizing is so important or even un-cluttering on regular basis..........I did set some boundaries when it comes to pets after I moved ...My yard area has shrunk and I don't have the time to walk dogs like I used to......After my last Dog died I pledged that he was going to be my last....With that said a " Cat" has managed to move in for awhile and looks like its not leaving....My reduced size of living space still allows for grand kids to visit(bunk beds), two washrooms, and Fire Pit in backyard.......I'm still giving stuff away to the family(if they will take it)....Going to a Funeral tomorrow......
