kayc Posted May 27, 2008 Report Share Posted May 27, 2008 My little sister Julie has been going through so much...her little 15 year old daughter Chelsea has been having severe pain and can hardly walk, they think she may have Lupus, and to top it off, she is allergic to the steroids they use to treat it with.Then last night my nephew Jordan tried to commit suicide. This is the same sister that had a child born without a brain (she has since passed away). You wonder sometimes how much one family can take. I don't know why it is that some people have children and it seems so effortless and everything goes along smooth, while this family has gone through so much.Please keep them in your prayers, I'd appreciate it.KayC Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you remember my Mom also was just diagnosed with Lupus along with her cancer, so this is a disease that has hit our family also. How is Jordon and Chelsea doing today? Jordan is back home living with his parents (my sister & brother in law). Chelsea is in extreme pain. John's check up is Wednesday and am not sure how soon we'll know anything, but he is still hit with the flu and respiratory infection, very tired. He hasn't had work lately, he shows up and it gets canceled...hard on the budget, but maybe a godsend in the end as he needs the rest right now.Thank you all for your prayers. Honestly, sometimes it's all I know, when we feel most helpless, when things are most overwhelming, all we CAN do is pray...but prayer is not "nothing", it is something, perhaps the most tangible thing we CAN do! If I could offer your family any advice for your niece, it would be to get to a specialist right away. I was very fortunate to have found a wonderful doctor. There is so much suffering in this world and our finite minds cannot begin to fathom why. I too have family members who seem as if they get dumped on. This morning Chelsea is seeing a team of doctors and we'll know more later...this hasn't been confirmed, is only a suspicion at this point, so I'm still hoping it's better than we think, but time will tell.John is also being seen this morning and I'm hoping the doctor will order tests that let us know what is wrong with him.I appreciate you all so much, sometimes I feel you're all I have, but then I have my family.Love,KayC Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
